 Tutu tester drives for change
The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation is taking to the streets of Mitchell's Plein and Khayelitsha in a brightly coloured mobile clinic, called the Tutu Tester. The clinic provides testing for HIV together with screening for other common chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity and hypertension. The concept reflects the approach that HIV should be viewed as a chronic treatable condition rather than one attached to stigma, discrimination and shame.

We visited Sibongile Mtembu, who heads up an educare project in Mbuba village with support from educare NGO, Little Elephant Training Centre for Early Education (LETCEE).
