It's that time of year again. Time to get out into the community and join sports stars and other personalities for one inspiring day of volunteering on Do It Day, Friday, 19th September 2008. This year, we have 120 exciting projects to choose from and need 1,200 volunteers to sign up for the biggest day of mass volunteering yet.

Thanks for the books
The Donate-a-Book campaign captured the imagination of the nation with an impressive R80,000 raised for 10 under-resourced early learning centres across the country. Generous individuals with a passion for books, together with Media24 and Exclusive Books, helped us to meet our campaign target by the close of the campaign. Each of the early learning centres will shortly receive 100 brand new, mother-tongue books in a lockable trunk as well as resource materials and other support for teachers. Mentors are the business
Enterprise creation is the latest development buzz word. It is seen as the answer to South Africa's unemployment problems - small businesses generate income, create jobs and provide essential services in impoverished communities.
